Fun With Dick and Jane

I watched this movie a few weeks ago. I didn’t expect the movie to be great due to lack of build up, but it didn’t let me down at all.

The movie was unlike Jim Carrey’s earlier work, but not so-unlike his latest films. He was humorous, but not overly idiotic. He did a very good job in the movie, too bad it wasn’t doing better because he deserved more.

The movie had great acting, good directing and a unique plot. Three things which haven’t been put together as much as they were before. Nowadays movies are rushed out trying to get the most bang for the buck, but this one seemed well organized and good to the last drop.

However, although all these things came together, the movie still wasn’t WOW. Although it was unique, it wasn’t exciting. The down-played comedy was great, so if you are going to see it, see it for what it is and not for something you think it is. A comedy that you will laugh at and have a good time.
