As I’ve learned more and more about the process of American politics, I have also learned how big of pussies the Democrats really are. The past off-year elections, Democrats promised they would:
- get us out of Iraq
- raise education funds
- hold the president accountable for his actions. Of course, they haven’t accomplished any of the above.
One of my biggest issues with the Democrats is that they can’t get things done, and frankly, I’m not sure they even want to. With such a huge majority in the House and then holding even in the Senate (not counting Lieberman as a Dem) and the presidency going to where it is the Dems are able to bluff on every issue. Just think about it: the Dems know that something drastic like pulling the troops immediately out of Iraq won’t happen, so what do they do? They pass it in the House, then make it fail in the Senate (by ever a slight minority). Hell, even if it did slightly pass the Senate, they know it would get a veto and be sent back to the Senate where a 2/3s vote would never happen.
What do the Democrats stand for?
- Civil liberties? Nope, they can’t even agree on Gay Marriage.
- Education? Nope, they don’t want any “new” taxes to take care of the problem.
- Anti-War? Nope, they showed exactly what they think about that. Invade Iraq? Yep, fine by them. Fund the war? Yep, can’t stop that. Force the president to withdraw? Of course not! Don’t be silly.
- What about health care for everyone? Wow, why even suggest that? There goes a decent amount of funding, that would never happen.
- How about the environment, do they stand for that? Nope. Although a majority of the money donated by large oil companies still go to Republicans, Democrats still receive 27% of all oil and gas money.
- Holding the president accountable, maybe they are for that… right? Nah, that would take “too much time”, or so they want us to believe. They claim that impeachment proceedings will take away from ‘important matter’, like… renaming libraries.

I don’t support Republican, but they sure are far easier to work with than those irrational Democrats. Discussing topics with them usually end with them yelling an insult and plugging their ears while saying “La La La La” like a 3 year old.
It is so obvious this guy is a demcrat! How dumb are you. The whole point of this article is that democrats are’nt achieving what they say they would. It is implied that he wants the things achieved like new taxes and bringing the troops home!
Someday we will all look back on these days and wish we hadn’t let them drive a wedge between us.

Nora, are you serious? Hess is obviously just troubled by the fact that he feels as though his party has let him down. The issues that he brings up are that which are held dearly to the party. Now Nora before you go blasting someone and make yourself look ignorant to the facts of what is going on right now, it would be who of you to pick up a book and read something instead of watching tv and taking what people say as “law”. Those with feeble minds or lazy ones and the ones who are going to lead our great Nation into destruction. One says he is for “Change” the people should be asking what change how is he going to promote change what has he done for change. The other says basically the same thing, and you should honestly ask and reference the same questions. It is when one lets their ideological and personal passions cloud their way of good judgment. It would be wise for all those who are of free born and of lawful age in order to vote to exercise that gift which has been granted to all and that gift is the one of using ones mind. Nora, I really doubt you have exercised this gift and would advise you to do so you will be enlightened.

ACORN is an organization to help the poor get out to vote. “His dealings” with terrorists was being on the same board as someone who is considered a “terrorist” along with many other high level professionals. They were never friends and spoke only in board meetings.
And “socialist” isn’t exactly a bad word, just so you know Finland and many other countries do just fine and have a higher standard of living than the United States.
Seriously? Finland? Maybe you are not as bright as I thought you were. Socialism has never worked for any country that has had a substantial population. You don’t think socialism would be bad for a country that imports unskilled/uneducated immigrants by the millions? Yeah, great comparison there genius. Of course it would work in a country that has the population of less people than Washington state. Have you looked at their tax brackets at all? If you make over 62,000 Euros you get taxed at a whopping 32%. Unless you want to get serious and compare countries with a substantial population like Russia or China (and socialism did wonders for them–not).

Communism isn’t a bad word either. At least not to some people. Just ask Chas Freeman, another joke nominee of Obama’s. But at least he isn’t behind on this taxes. I guess we are making progress.
ACORN would be fine if they were helping the poor to vote, ONCE. But not 3 or 4 times and not when they are in Ohio registering the Dallas Cowboys roster. Why can’t you liberals call a spade a spade? ACORN is a front for the democratic party. Not once did you hear an instance of ACORN hauling busloads of poor people to go vote for McCain. They were all voting for Barry.
Why are you putting terrorist in quotes? Are you saying there is some dispute to “we didn’t do enough” Ayers being a terrorist? Since he isn’t a muslim you liberals are probably confused why everyone is calling him a terrorist.
