To all the racists (not people who didn’t vote for Obama, but people who are genuinely racist) screw you.

I never really supported Obama, but that is purely because of many of his views. Criticizing him because of his skin color is immoral. If you base your judgments on someone based on skin color, you are in need of some serious help.

As a nation we need to put up or shut up. Our children will be the ones pulling in the dough within a blink of an eye. In 50 years, most of us will not be here. Why should we destroy our land, our freedom, our sovereignty for a fragment of our countries existence?

Yes, we are in tough times. But, raising taxes, killing Arabs, and bailing out banks will not help our nation grow. Instead of killing others and helping the rich, we should invest in our future.

How do we do this?

We suck in our gut and let the banks die. We let other nations be sovereign, just as we wish to be. We forget about what happened seven years ago and start anew. Bring the troops home, lower taxes, destroy ridiculous mandates, and give back the freedom all Americans deserve.

Legalize all drugs. Want to stop drug violence? Take away the drug. The only way to truly take it out of their hands is by letting pharmacies sell. By doing so, the US can tax it to high heaven.

Imagine, marijuana being sold at every pharmacy with a $10 tax. How much additional money will that bring?

Here is what we do:

1. Establish a fair tax. The poor should not be taxed. Likewise, the current tax system is a haven for the upper class and large corporations. It needs to be changed.
2. Take away the ridiculous $100,000 cap for social security. There is no reason why the poor and middle class should pay a higher percent of their income towards social security.
3. Restore Habeas Corpus to all humans. Every human deserves to know what they are charged with and have a fair trial.
4. Prosecute war criminals. George Bush lied to the American people to go to war. He should be prosecuted for his crimes. Likewise, Nancy Pelosi and other Congressmen and women should be investigated.
5. Legalize all drugs and tax them. The additional tax will be used to fund social programs designed to help the poor and needy.
6. No farm subsidies. Currently, the government pays farmers to not farm to inflate food prices. Take away farm subsidies and allow the free market to set the price of food.
7. Tax oil and gas profits. The money created by the taxes will be used to fund alternative energy programs across the United States.
8. Raise the minimum MPG for vehicles. Nations throughout Europe and Asia have set a precedence on what can be accomplished by raising the minimum MPG for vehicles. Currently, many vehicles sold within the United States are not legal to be sold internationally. Because of this, GM and Ford have manufactured vehicles specifically for other countries with raised MPG, but refuse to sell them in the United States.

How will we accomplish this? By not voting for Obama or McCain. Both have shown their short-sightedness in debates and in their previous voting record. We need to look to the future of America, and in the future, we are a small business nation with alternative energy.

I suppose I should try more, because really, chances are better right? Well, not statistically but theoretically.

Anyway, just thought I would update something on this blog instead of just letting it die, although I probably should.

The most amazing band of the entire concert though was none of the above, it was Red. The guys are known as a “rock gospel” band, but believe me, it was nothing short of amazing. Hell, if you were to come up to me after the concert and tell me they were a rock gospel band I would have spit in your face and called you a jackass — they were that amazing.

Leading up to the concert I wasn’t expecting much. I have heard a few of their songs on Yahoo Launchcast as well as a few on the local radio station leading up to the concert, but nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to experience. Of course, knowing they were the lead band, it was expected even more that their music was only going to be subpar.

When the boys took the stage, immediately the crowd was screaming. The guitar work was out of this world. The guys slamming guitar strings, beating the shit out of the drums and singing their heart out. Damn was it fantastic. In fact, so fantastic I can’t find words to describe it.

What made it even sweeter was after they left the stage. Throughout the rest of the concert they sat in the back selling their album for half-price, shaking the hands of every person and signing every CD sold. They were a class act and nothing short of making the entire concert well worth the money.

Although the other bands weren’t as great, they are not unforgettable. Seether did their thing, Breaking Benjamin was above average, but a let down as I thought they were going to own the concert and heading it off with Three Days Grace. Three Days Grace was just as great as Red, except with much more time on stage. They rocked, hard.
